Black History Month Door Decorating Contest

Teachers had the opportunity to decorate their classroom doors during the month of February in celebration of Black History Month.  In previous years, we had a numerous participants and many outstanding decorated doors!  The theme of the decorated door this year was an individual, group, theme, or event that contributed or continues to contribute to the goal of equality and justice for all. Door judging took place on February 23rd.

The winners of this year's door decorating contest:

First place: Mr. Rodriguez's Tuskegee Airman Door.

Second place: Mr. Faulx's door focused on Black History Heroes from Maryland.  He also extended his decorations to his wall which highlighted the Harlem Hellfighters, The Brownstones, and Jazz Hall of Fame.

Third Place: Ms. Tunstall's Broadway Stars Door.
