SANDBURG MIDDLE SCHOOL RECEIVES $4,000 GRANT

Lowe’s Donates Money for Sandburg Bots STEM Academy

We are thrilled to announce that Lowe’s has awarded Sandburg Middle School a $4,000 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant for the implementation of the Sandburg Bots STEM Academy. Our grant application was based on the goal of improving learning in the areas of STEM, robotics, and coding.

Sandburg Bots S.T.E.M Academy will prepare students to apply mathematical and scientific principles to design, develop and evaluate a computer controlled system. This program will include but is not limited to automata, robotics, and automation systems. This program will allow students opportunities to utilize their critical thinking, analytical, cooperative, and problem solving 21 Century Skills. Our goal is to have a learning tool that is exciting and inspires our students to become innovative thinkers

We look forward to sharing the Sandburg Bots S.T.E.M Academy with our students. Our school and community will greatly benefit from this grant. We wish to thank our friends at Lowe’s for generously supporting this important project.
