Join us to welcome our new AP: Mr. Steventon
Frank Steventon will be joining us from Whitman Middle School where he currently serves as one of their Assistant Principals. Frank brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that he has accumulated over twenty-four years in education as a classroom teacher in elementary, middle, and high school and as a transformational leader within schools and the Central Office. Thirteen of those years have been right here in our own Region 3. More recently, Frank has done the work of an MTSS Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and a Region 3 ES/MS Science Resource Teacher within the Office of School Support.
Frank grew up in central New York where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (N-6) with an extension to teach (7-9) Biology & General Science from the State University of New York at Oswego. After graduating and beginning his teaching career in New York, he acquired his Master of Education degree in (K-8) Inquiry Based Science from Lesley University. While working in Fairfax County Public Schools, Frank attained his Certificate in Educational Leadership through the University of Virginia at Charlottesville as a member of the ACC XVIII Leadership Cohort.
Frank’s dedication to educational leadership is grounded in a commitment to student success, teacher development, and achieving equity within the school community. As an Assistant Principal, he will aim to empower educators, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure a thriving, inclusive, and equitable learning environment where every student can excel.
