Strategy Lab

Beginning on Monday, May 6, 2024, we will be running on an alternative bell schedule to provide additional time for students to receive instructional intervention and support as they prepare for their SOL assessments, called Strategy Lab.  

• As part of our Targeted School Improvement work, we have identified students who may benefit from additional academic support during the school day through this preparatory work. 
  • Content review
  • Test taking strategies. 
  • Academic support
• Students who are not identified to receive academic intervention and support, may be assigned to their advisory teacher during Strategy Lab.  
  • Academic work and assignments
  • Mathematics and Literacy Review
  • End of year projects and portfolio work

The strategy lab schedule will run from Monday May 6, 2024, through the end of the testing window.  Student teacher assignments for Strategy Lab can be found in ParentVue / Student Vue on May 3, 2024, under “Learning Seminar”.   

Parents of students who are identified for specific academic supports will be notified via email by either their student’s mathematics teacher or English teacher.
